Early in 2021 the Māori Womens Development Inc (MWDI) approached us to help design a storefront directory which showcased the developments and encouraged innovation in digital technologies for indigenous wāhine (women) in Aotearoa.
Due to the upcoming APEC Conference, our team was tasked to complete this project within a short time frame. We were required to work closely with the MWDI team, and within our own design and development teams to supply a series of prototypes which allowed MWDI to make quick decisions on the go.
The resulting website was completed well before the deadline and provided MWDI with full content management capabilities, customised specifically for the purposes of listing updates. Automated SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) capabilities were integrated whilst front-facing technologies ensured that large images uploaded by the administrator were downsized on a per-screen size basis. This ensured mobile network visitors enjoyed faster experiences and less network traffic costs.
