The TBD team was tasked with an epic project from NZ Rugby for their inaugural WXV tournament. We created promotional artwork and video for the NZ matches in Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin.
We created a theme for all material to follow, with the tagline “Get Your Game On!”. Once the ideation was approved, we started developing assets in 4 stages, pushing for different target audiences such as locals, expats there to see their teams and people interested in women’s sport.
We had a wealth of existing assets from NZ Rugby that made creating the tiles a breeze. Having a strong existing brand to work with helped the speed in which we could produce the hundreds of assets needed over the advertising months. We created billboards, social media tiles and reels, website takeovers, print adverts as well as collateral for the event.
Seeing the fan reception was a fun and pretty new experience for us as we hadn’t worked on project with such a big reach before. Here’s to similar projects in the future!
